My Business Card

Long story short, I was assigned to make a business card for MATC. However, I had to use Adobe InDesign. This was my first experience with ID, so it was frustrating at first, but I picked it up quickly. I still like Illustrator more, but maybe that'll change. Who knows.

Vintage Poster

Surprisingly, this project was really simple. I'd seen some cool vintage ads for social media apps around the internet, so I thought I'd give it a try. (Also I was assigned to make a vintage poster for MATC, so...)
I actually really enjoy using Spotify, as long as I'm on my PC. I would recommend it to anyone that doesn't want to spend a ton of money on iTunes and doesn't mind listening to the occasional ad.

Ripoff Apple Advertisement

In my Digital Media class, I was assigned to come up with a concept for an imaginary product or just make an advertisement for said product. This one was a little more challenging, so instead of being creative, I decided to rip off an already existing brand. :) I was actually really happy with the way this turned out.

Doctor Who Crest

For all my fellow Whovians out there... ;) This one's for you. I was assigned to make a family crest in my Digital Media class. I already know what my family crest looks like, and I hadn't done an homage to Doctor Who yet, so I made this. And hey, isn't a fandom just like a really big family? :)

Young Women Logo

This particular logo has a short story behind it. I was asked by my Young Women leaders to make a blog for the Laurels class in my ward. I did and decided to make a little logo that represented the blog and therefore the Laurels of the Hillcrest 2nd American Fork Ward. All I did was recolor and remove the text from the general Young Women's organization logo and then put the Laurels logo around it. It wasn't very hard, but I think it turned out really nicely. Logo Design

This was an assignment for my Digital Media class. We had to create a logo for an imaginary company, then make three more to see what we liked, what worked and what didn't, etc. This company is an organization that supports and helps fund arts programs in elementary schools. My personal favorite is the pencil/paintbrush. What about you?

Pinterest Infographic

In my Digital Media class, I was assigned to create an infographic using real stats. So I went, "eh, why not Pinterest?" Though I have an account, I have never once logged in, but I think the website itself is an interesting phenomenon. And before you complain that the percentages used to make the bar graph don't add up, the 32% was taken from the 58% who said no.

Movie Poster

This project was a labor of love. It was very long, sometimes confusing, time-consuming, and difficult. It's supposed to be a poster advertising a chick flick about tween angst, fitting, etc. I really like the finished product, however. All the time and effort was totally worth it. :)
Made using Adobe Photoshop CS6.

Sadies 2014 T-Shirt Design

For the Sadie Hawkins dance at my school this year, I designed the t-shirts for my group. Each couple chose a color of t-shirt, then we printed out this design on iron-on paper and, well...ironed it on. They turned out great, and I was glad I could help so much through such a simple thing.

Grooveshark Icon

Hehe...get it? It's a groove...shark...grooveshark...
This illustration wasn't made for the website. It was just a simple, visual pun. I drew this on paper, scanned it, and outlined it in Photoshop. Even though it's a silly little thing, I'm pretty proud of it. :)

Halloween Card

Aww! This cute little pumpkin was -- you guessed it - made using a tutorial. However, I took more creative license with this one. This project was more challenging, but just as rewarding. :)

Fox

What does it say?
Haha. This cute little guy was, again, made using a tutorial from Tuts+. I would recommend this tutorial to any beginner trying to learn how to use Illustrator. This project was really fun and easy. I followed the tutorial pretty much step for step, but you don't have to. You can change the colors, flowers, background - whatever! It's your design. :)

Flash Drive

This is one of the first things I ever made on Illustrator. I used a tutorial, of course, so I didn't design it. When I was finished, however, I was amazed at what I could do. This project was simple, instructive, and fun. Shoutout to Tuts+ for having such great Illustrator tutorials!
